Domain Names

Domain names are the names that you may register to personalise your own web space and e-mail addresses. If you decided to register the Domain Name fredbloggs.com then your website could be viewed at http://www.fredbloggs.com and you could have your e-mail configured to as many e-mail aliases as you liked for instance:

fred@fredbloggs.com      sales@fredbloggs.com    and so on.

Domain Names are relatively cheap to register these days and we can perform all the tasks on your behalf to get everything working as you wish.

Domain names come in two flavours:
UK and International.

UK Domain Names
These are the names that end in .co.uk (Generally used for businesses) or .org.uk (Generally used for charities or non-profit making organisations)
We can register these on your behalf and are for a period of 2 years.

International Domain Names
These domain names end in .com .net and .org and again, we can register these for you but they are for as many years as you like, you can register for just one year or up to 10 years.

Registration & renewal
We normally register the domain names you want on your behalf, retaining control of them. This enables us to work with them easily on your behalf, transferring them to different name servers, pointing them do different web space and so on. It also ensures that when they come up for renewal, we can renew them on your behalf seamlessly and avoiding loss of web or mail services if they expire.
Although this is the easiest solution, the domain names always remain your property and can be transferred into your complete control upon request. Any customer wishing to take control of their own domain name from onset may do so.

Checking for an available Domain Name
Domain names are being registered in their thousands daily so if you were expecting to get something decent like www.bbc.co.uk then prepare to be disappointed. However, we can normally find a suitable domain name for you if you wish. Just e-mail us with the name of your Business or Organisation and we'll try and find something suitable. You could also check at Nominet's web site to see if the name you want is available.
